As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, it is important that we all remember to give thanks to God for all His blessings and mercies toward us throughout the year. Yes, it is a time to enjoy turkey, pumpkin pie, parades, and football, but it is so much more. How can we help our children understand what giving thanks really means? As the holiday season approaches, ask your child to express the grateful feelings of their heart in a journal or during evening prayers. Thanksgiving gives us all an opportunity to reflect on the blessings that God has showered us with over the year and give Him endless praise.

The Virtue of the Week: Patience – Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that gives us the ability to wait with openness and acceptance for God’s guidance. Scripture Reference: 1Corinthians 13:4 – Love is patient, love is kind.
